i am so. damn. tired. i cannot wait for this all to be over. i would like to be able to write more than 600 words in a month. i would like to be able to sleep late, and by "late" i mean past nine. i would like to be excited about the plans i've made and paid for.

the actual funeral - the service - was not an experience i want to repeat any time soon. my dad gave a really nice speech and my cousin gave a really nice speech and the rabbi was very good and overall it was a lovely service, but y'know, i kept thinking that someday i'll have to do that - stand in front of an audience and tell them about my dad ( Read more... )

they took my uncle off life support this afternoon. the funeral's on sunday.

thank you all so much for your condolences and sympathy and kind words and everything. i was kind of surprised at how many of you there are, and it made me cry. i appreciate it like you have no idea. thank you, thank you, thank you.
